William m(3) : Julia Ann Lamb - b. about 1850 and died 23 July 1938. They were married in Worth County on 7 Jan 1897



Between the time of the 1860 Worth Co., MO census and 12 Feb 1864, William K and at least his two oldest step sons removed to Jefferson County, IA, where they all enlisted in the Union Army. All served in Co E 2nd Iowa Vol Inf.. They were all mustered out 12 Jul 1865 at Louisville, KY. They initially were posted at Pulaski, TN, doing duty along the Nashville and Decatur railroad. In May, 1864 they were shipped to near Chattanooga, TN, where they served in Sherman's campaign through Atlanta.
